How it works: We meet and discuss your current questions, and what kind of work might be useful for you. We settle on a schedule that could be anything from a weekend to a month or several meetings of a few days each. My involvement can range from full time to dropping in on your studio time as needed. I can do a combination of teaching, mentoring, my particular approach to feedback, dance wrecking© and whatever else arises from the situation. For example, upcoming residencies are addressing: teaching issues and approaches, work with language and dance, writing and articulation for various uses including grant writing. The residencies will be particular to the individual but generally regarding questions about making. Having a culminating showing is possible. The residency can also accomodate artists who do not want mentorship but are seeking a chunk of time to work independently in a calm and supportive space. Fee will depend on the scope of the residency. All residencies will be held at REDHORSE STUDIO. Out-of-towners are welcome to stay in the STUDIO guest room. Additional dancers (local or visiting) can be included.  Curious? Email

"Thank you SO much for having all of us. It was a really important weekend for the piece and for the group. Your mentorship is truly priceless. Thank you for being so generous with your space, time, and energy. I would love to make a return trip, even if just for one day." – Kayt MacMaster, choreographer
